Castleton Alive! Runout Programming and Concerts
The Community Engagement Team at Castleton Festival provides off-campus programming at local schools, camps, organizations, nursing/rehabilitation centers, and clubs. This dynamic team, consisting of our Outreach staff and five finest C.A.T.S (Castleton Artists in Training Seminar Participants), are available for education programming and short recitals. Castleton Alive! A Day at Castleton!
Castleton Festival is opening three fully-staged dress rehearsals to local youth. We welcome your students to our campus for A Day at Castleton! featuring Charles Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette (July 1), Maurice Ravel's L’heure espagnole, (July 8), and the iconic play by Thorton Wilder- Our Town (July 9). Aside from watching the staged, full-costumed performances, we have rounded out the mornings with educational programming and opportunity to have lunch on our beautiful campus. Castleton Festival invites local high school students interested in pursuing a career in music for an informative workshop on auditioning for programs! Current undergraduate/graduate students and faculty from prestigious music programs will lead discussions on a variety of topics including strategies for audition preparation, and information on various program offerings and paths. Parents are most certainly welcome.
